Samuel Aladesanusi re-signs for a fourth season with Kerry FC

Kerry native Samuel Aladesanusi has re-signed with the club ahead of the 2026 SSE Airtricity Men’s First Division campaign.

The 21-year-old Tralee native has been an ever-present defender for the Kingdom since the club’s inaugural season at senior level in 2023. Before that, Sam was a proud graduate of our Academy structures since Under-17 level, making him one of our longest-serving players, dating back to before senior football arrived at Mounthawk Park.

Aladesanusi has gone on to make 83 appearances for the Kingdom over the last 3 seasons, scoring 3 crucial league goals along the way. Another versatile player in Colin Healy’s squad, Sam has made appearances across the back 4 for Kerry FC over the last number of seasons.

Speaking after he re-committed to the Kingdom for 2026, Samuel Aladesanusi told kerryfc.com, “I’m buzzing to re-sign with the club for 2026 and can’t wait to get back on the pitch. Every year, this team improves, and the standards increase. Going forward into this season, I know this team will go far, and I can’t wait to be a part of it and see all the fans back in Mounthawk Park.”

Also speaking after Sam’s return to Mounthawk Park for the new season, First Team Manager Colin Healy said, “It’s great to have Sam signed back up for the 2026 season. Another player who has picked up some fantastic League of Ireland experience over the last 3 seasons. He has been here from the very start and has proven himself right the way through. I’m looking forward to working with Sam again next year.”
