Junior Skills Academy

The Kerry FC Junior Skills Academy is for Boys and Girls of all abilities. Led by our Academy Head Coach Seb Vasiu and other Academy coaches, there will be a host of Kerry FC First Team players during the course of the year for all to meet, greet and play with.

Terms & Conditions

The Kerry FC Junior Skills Academy is open to boys and girls between the ages of 7-14 of all abilities. The academy will run every Sunday as a 1-hour course during the course of the year with the exception of the Christmas & New Years holidays, should they fall on a Sunday.

Sign Up / Cancellation Policy: The registration fee to join the academy will be €99, and includes the first two sessions in February, free attendance to all Kerry FC League Home Games, training ¼ zip, t-shirt, shorts and socks. The cost will be €40 per month thereafter through an automatic renewal subscription service that will occur every 30 days from the date you signed up. You can cancel your subscription anytime throughout the course of the year.

Insurance Policy: All Kerry FC Junior Skills Academy sessions will be covered by Public Liability Insurance only.

Fees & Discounts: Once the fees have been received, a confirmation will be issued by email. The confirmation email confirms your spot in the Kerry FC Junior Skills academy.

Medical Assistance: When signing up, you must provide all medical information related to your child. By signing up, you are giving permission to our qualified staff members or a doctor. You are also giving permission to the club to bring your child to a doctor or hospital in an emergency situation. If there are any changes to the medical information provided that you wrote on your application, you must inform us prior to attending the Junior Skills Academy. You also consent to your child being taken to a doctor or hospital in case of emergency. If there is any change to the medical information you provided on your application form you must inform us prior to the Junior Skills Academy commencing.

Damages/Injuries/Loss of Possessions: Kerry Football Club will not be responsible for any damages, injuries or loss of possessions. The club operates with extreme care for the values that are installed in the club at the highest possible standards. We highly recommend that you leave any valuables at home prior to attending a session.

Clothing: All Players must wear the Kerry FC Junior Skills Academy training wear upon receiving it. It could take up to 4-6 weeks from sign up date to receive the training gear.

Code of Conduct: All participants are to follow the instructions given by all coaching staff. All misbehavior or bullying will result in expulsion from the Junior Skills Academy and any fees will not be refunded. In any case this should arise, the child shall not be permitted to leave of their own accord, a parent/guardian will be contacted to collect immediately. No child shall be given permission to leave unless they have a written consent form of a parent/guardian.

Data Policy: By signing up for the Kerry FC Junior Skills Academy, the club will retain your data and contact you throughout the year for the club promotions. You can email us should you no longer want to be contacted.

Photographic or Video Permission: By signing up for the Junior Skills Academy, you are giving permission to Kerry Football Club to take pictures and videos of your child for use of promotional material for the academy and club promotions. These may be published on the Kerry FC website, social media platforms and match day programs throughout the year.

Weather: In the event of severe inclement weather, the Academy Director will contact you via email to notify you of any cancellation. Should this happen during a session, all players will be brought indoors and you will be notified immediately for collection of your child. All children will be supervised until everyone is picked up.

Refunds: In the unlikely event of cancellation to the Junior Skills Academy, you will be issued a full refund. If inclement weather or COVID19 causes any partial cancellation of the academy, no refunds will be issued. Kerry Football Club reserves the right to make time/date/venue changes if necessary.

The registration fee to join the academy is €99, and includes your first FOUR SESSIONS COVERED when you sign up, Free Attendance for ALL Kerry FC League Home Games, ¼ zip training top, training t-shirt, shorts and socks. Anyone who signs up now, will also get the Februarys Sessions Free, in addition to the Four already when you sign up, that’s 6 in total. The cost is €40 per month thereafter through an automatic renewal subscription service that will occur every 30 days from the date you signed. For anyone who signs up in February, you would not be charged the subscription of €40 until April. This special offer only applies to anyone who signs up in February. You can cancel your subscription anytime throughout the course of the year.

FAQ

What is the location for Junior Academy?
The Junior Academy will be held at Mounthawk Park, Tralee on the Kerry FC Home pitch, unless there is a highly unlikely clash, where we will move to another pitch at Mounthawk Park.

What Days and Times is it on?
The Junior Academy is on every Sunday from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm.

Can I join if my child is with a club already?
Yes, absolutely, we aim to provide extra training for all boys and girls with our Highly Qualified Academy Staff.

Can I register my child at any time?
Yes, you can sign up at any time on our registration page at any time, you can cancel at any time . Please note that during the Christmas period (Christmas Day, New Years Day) if clashed with Sundays are the only exceptions.

Do I get my Kerry FC Junior Academy when I sign right away?
It is our goal to have all kits for everyone when they sign up, but demand may have a timeframe between 4-6 weeks. The quicker you register, the higher chance of avoiding the wait.

Is it for both Boys & Girls?
Yes

Will the Junior Academy Play any games?
No, the Junior Academy will not play any organized games vs any teams.

Is there any GK specific training?
Yes, we will have a Goalkeeping Coach that will work with small groups throughout the training sessions.

Can I take a break anytime during the year?
Yes, you can. All you have to do is renew your subscription on your account when you would like to come back. A charge of €50 will be applied to your renewal and cover you for the first 4 sessions back.
