Kerry FC and Kerry Middle East FC Dubai launch strategic partnership

Kerry FC and the newly established Kerry Middle East FC, based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, are pleased to announce a new strategic partnership aimed at supporting the growth and development of football opportunities in the UAE.

Under the partnership, Kerry FC will provide technical support and guidance to assist Kerry Middle East FC as it continues to develop its football structures and programmes. The club will compete in the Dubai Amateur Football League and has ambitious plans to expand across men’s, ladies’ and youth football in the coming years.

Kerry Middle East FC forms part of the wider Kerry Middle East Sports Club in Dubai, which has already established successful Gaelic Games and Rugby sections with a strong sporting and community focus.

The club brings together Irish, local and international members and is headquartered at Dubai Sevens Stadium.

Niall Quinn, Chairperson of Kerry Middle East FC, said:
“We are delighted to formalise this strategic partnership with Kerry FC, which we believe will play an important role in the growth of our club over the coming years. Football is a global game and is experiencing significant growth across the Gulf region at both grassroots and professional levels. Our focus is on building strong football structures, creating opportunities for players of all ages and backgrounds, and fostering a vibrant football community. In time, we hope this partnership will provide a pathway for talented players in the region to connect with League of Ireland football through our relationship with Kerry FC.”

Billy Dennehy, CEO of Kerry FC, said:
“Soccer has always been a powerful way to bring people together, and this partnership with Kerry Middle East FC is about creating a sense of community for those people living far from home. As the club begins its journey in Dubai, through a shared love of the game, we are proud to support an initiative that gives people a place to belong – a home away from home. We look forward to helping their coaches, players, and wider committee structures to build a welcoming soccer environment where everyone feels connected, supported, and part of something meaningful”

The announcement reflects the shared ambition of both clubs to strengthen football participation, player development and community engagement while building closer sporting ties between Ireland and the Middle East.

Kerry Middle East FC will begin its inaugural season on 28 September 2026, with the club aiming to establish itself as a leading community football organisation in the UAE.
