Kerry FC to face Bohemians in the Sports Direct Men’s FAI Cup Third Round.
The draw has been made for the Sports Direct Men’s FAI Cup Third Round. The Kingdom will welcome a SSE Airtricity Men’s Premier Division side at this stage of the competition for the second year in a row. Bohemian Football Club from Dublin will be the visitors for the game on the week ending August 16th.
It will be the second time Kerry have hosted a SSE Airtricity Men’s Premier Division side to Mounthawk Park in the clubs short history. Drogheda United visited Tralee last August in the Last 16 of the Cup competition, winning out by a single goal to nil on that occasion.
Kerry booked their place in the Third Round with thanks to a 2-0 win away to Cobh Ramblers last Friday night while Boh’s beat Dublin rivals Shamrock Rovers by a goal to nil in Dalymount Park.
It is a mouthwatering tie for Kerry supporters, Bohemians were finalists in the Aviva Stadium last year where they were beaten by St Patricks Athletic in the showpiece final which was a sellout.
Plans are being put in place for the fixture and a date and time will be confirmed in due course.
The game will be an all-ticket affair and details will be made available in the coming weeks ahead of the fixture.
