After a comprehensive 4-0 away reversal against the Seagulls on Friday night in Bray, there is no rest for the wicked this weekend, as the Kingdom play their second game in 4 days with the visit of the Rams to Mounthawk Park tomorrow at 5pm.
It was a thrilling evening by the seaside on Friday night, with Vince Borden, Sean McGrath, Jonas Häkkinen and Cian Murphy all on the scoresheet to earn Kerry FC their biggest ever away win in the club’s history. That emphatic result was Kerry’s first time taking as much as a point away from the Carlisle Grounds, while it marked Bray’s first defeat at home since September 2025. A 5-star performance by Kerry who have struggled away from home this season.
To look at the bigger picture, and since the turn of the season since the summer break, the Kingdom have secured 16 of a possible 21 points on offer, winning every game at home and just dropping some points on the road to Treaty and Wexford respectively; it’s safe to say Kerry are one of the league’s in-form teams since the turn of the season.
But Kerry put their 9-game unbeaten streak on the line in Mounthawk Park tomorrow afternoon against a Cobh side who now sit just 2 points ahead of the Kingdom in the table, occupying the last of the 4 play-off places on the table. Cobh were the last team to leave Tralee with all 3 points; that’s when the sides last met in the Kingdom on April 3rd. In fact, Cobh have taken the spoils in the two meetings between the sides so far this season, winning 2-0 at home before the teams went off on their mid-season break.
Cobh picked up a well-needed 3 points in St Colman’s Park on Friday night, when they saw off Wexford FC by a goal to nil, ending a run of 5 straight defeats in both the league and cup. A win is surely going to send them to Mounthawk Park in high spirits and kick their season into gear again as the race for the play-off heats up with 11 games to go.

Injury Update
It’s very much as you were for Colin Healy ahead of Monday afternoon’s visit of Cobh Ramblers to Mounthawk Park. No injury worries to be concerned about following Friday night’s trip to Bray and no suspensions either. Simon Lüchinger, having signed on Friday, made his debut for the club in the closing minutes. Finn Barrett and Luke Doolan remain short-term absentees, while Ryan Kelliher remains the only long-term absentee in the squad.
