Brandon Bermingham signs for the Kingdom!

Kerry Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of Brandon Bermingham, who arrives in the Kingdom from Dungannon Swifts FC in the NIFL.

Brandon, who is 24, mainly applies his trade at centre forward, but has also featured on both the left and right wing at his former club. The Meath native carries dual citizenship and has featured at underage international level for both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

Bermingham arrives in the Kingdom from Dungannon Swifts, who currently sit in 5th position in the Northern Ireland Premiership. A product of the Drogheda, St. Pat’s and Bohemian FC Academies, Brandon is no stranger to the League of Ireland. He played UEFA Youth League Football with Bohs before signing for Drogheda United’s First Team, making 17 appearances for the side that won the SSE Airtricity Men’s First Division in 2020, scoring 5 goals. Brandon made 6 Premier Division appearances for the ‘Drogs’ before moving Stateside, signing for a number of different sides across the Atlantic. He returned to Ireland in 2024 when he signed for Dungannon Swifts, which also included a loan spell at fellow NIFL side Cliftonville, making some 30 appearances across his time with both clubs.

Speaking after his arrival in Mounthawk Park, Brandon Bermingham said, “I’m really excited to join Kerry for the upcoming season. I feel like the club is taking a massive step forward and also the league. I’m looking forward to working with my teammates and staff and playing in front of the fans and creating successful moments”

Also speaking to kerryfc.com after securing Brandon’s services for 2026, First Team Manager Colin Healy said, “We are delighted to have signed Brandon ahead of the 2026 campaign. Brandon is the type of player to take on his man at every possible opportunity and has a real eye for getting on the end of some fine goals. We are all looking forward to working with him throughout the season and making him even better. We’ve had him down for a couple of weeks and he has really fitted in well to the group during his time in Mounthawk Park.”
