Boston Bolts and Kerry FC announce international partnership

The Boston Bolts and Kerry FC have today announced an international partnership, which will provide a platform for young talent featuring high-level development and a pathway to first team soccer. The initiative sees the newest League of Ireland club and the Massachusetts based youth club continue to strengthen their ties.

The two clubs already share a strong relationship as Kerry FC was founded by Boston Bolts CEO Brian Ainscough and Boston Bolts Regional Director Steven Conway as part of an entity consisting of the Kerry District League, Sporting Director Billy Dennehy, General Manager Sean O’Keeffe and Operations Manager Geraldine Nagle. Through the partnership, the two clubs will share best practices and develop new opportunities for players, with the goal of driving the sport forward within both communities.

“A partnership of this magnitude, where both clubs will clearly benefit, is the next step in the evolution of the Boston Bolts,” Boston Bolts CEO Brian Ainscough said. “We’ve previously had two great partner clubs – Celtic F.C. & A.S. Roma – which we still have a great relationship with today. These partnerships have offered us the opportunity to learn from experts around the world and grow with the knowledge we’ve been able to apply along the way. Our new partnership with Kerry FC is designed with the players of both clubs in mind. Whether it’s providing a pathway for Bolts players to play professionally abroad or Kerry FC players a route to USL2 and American universities, we believe this partnership will open the doors for our young athletes. There’s always opportunities to learn when great minds meet and we’re excited to see the impact that sharing best practices will have for both coaching staffs and clubs.”

Brian Ainscough concludes his statement with “The Kerry FC fan base just grew by a few thousand and we’ll always have a Boston Fan Club.”
