Kerry Football Club is delighted to announce that Tralee native Cian Brosnan has penned a new deal with the club ahead of the 2026 SSE Airtricity Men’s First Division campaign.
Brosnan, who is 21, quickly became a fan favourite as far back as 2023 and has worn the Kerry jersey since the club’s inception in 2023. Since then, Cian has represented the Kingdom on 83 occasions, firing home some vital goals along the way from his position on the wing. Brossy won the club’s goal of the season award in 2024 for his strike against Athlone Town and proved vital to this year’s FAI Cup run, scoring the first goal against Cobh Ramblers in the third round before scoring a brace off the bench against Sligo Rovers in the ‘Mounthawk Miracle’ Quarter Final victory.
In 2025, Brosnan featured in 28 games under Colin Healy, scoring 4 goals, bringing his total goal count to 8 across 3 seasons for Kerry FC.
Speaking after he penned a new deal with his home club, Cian Brosnan said, “I’m delighted to re-sign again for the club. I can’t wait to be back in with the lads, and I’m looking forward to getting going ahead of the new campaign. I know it’s going to be a great season, and the fans should be excited for the season ahead. I can’t wait to see everyone back in Mounthawk Park in the new year.”
Also speaking after Cian Brosnan extended his Mounthawk Park stay, First Team Manager Colin Healy said, “Delighted to have Cian back in with us again for the new season. He has really impressed me since I came in and I really can’t fault his commitment levels. He’s got all the right attributes and has the right attitude to do well at this level. I’m looking forward to having a full pre-season with him and I’ve no doubt he can make a proper impact again in 2026.”
