Kerry Football Club are delighted to be teaming up with Tralee Gladiators Mixed Ability Community Football Club to introduce a club first, Kerry FC Football for All initiative.
Our philosophy is Inclusive Fun Football, a team that is open to all adults of all abilities from the ages of 18 to 100! Everyone in the community will have the opportunity to play together, supporting each other all while playing for fun and being competitive.
Kerry FC and our Football for All initiative aims to provide a team for those who may not fit in with the existing football team structure and who may want something a little less competitive, all while having fun and being inclusive. It’s also for people in the community who otherwise would not consider joining a football club for fear of not being good enough, fit enough, young enough or able-bodied enough.
Present at the announcement were Tralee Gladiators group co-ordinator Tadhg McMullen, Community Development Manager with the FAI Derek O’Neill, Strategy & Programme National Co-ordinator with the FAI Des Tomlinson and Kerry FC’s SES Officer Mark Nolan.
Speaking after the announcement, Group Co-Ordinator Tadhg McMullen said, “Tralee Gladiator’s Mixed Ability, Community Football Club is delighted to Partner up with Kerry FC to become Kerry FC Gladiators Football for All”
Also speaking after the announcement, Kerry FC’s SES Officer Mark Nolan said, “We are thrilled to welcome Tadgh and members of Tralee Gladiators to the club. Over recent years this project has grown from strength to strength and we look forward to helping them into the future. Football is for everybody, regardless of age or ability and everyone at Kerry FC is delighted to embrace Football for All.”
