The Kingdom welcome league leaders Dundalk FC to Mounthawk Park tomorrow night for what could be the last visit of the Louth side to Tralee as they are now likely favourites for an immediate return to the Premier Division following their relegation at the end of last term.
Kerry will have to put last week’s loss away to Wexford firmly in the rear-view window if they are to get anything from this game. The disappointment was felt by everybody in the aftermath, but now is the time to pick ourselves up, dust off and go again. Kerry hold an impressive record in Mounthawk Park under the guidance of Colin Healy, winning 3 and drawing one game, so he will put his unbeaten start on the line tomorrow night.
Dundalk, meanwhile, can almost feel a couple of fingers on the First Division trophy. Having lost their first game of the season away to Finn Harps last Monday night, a victory over their nearest challengers, Cobh Ramblers, on Friday night has immediately erased the small dip in form and restored their lead at the top of the table.

Injury Update
Colin Healy gave no fresh injury concerns ahead of Friday night’s game. Ronan Teahan picked up a knock in training last week, so he didn’t feature against Wexford FC. Joe Adams is nearing a return while Nathan Gleeson remains on the sidelines. Ryan Kelliher remains a long-term absentee.
What they said?
Colin Healy – “Look, it’s going to be a tough task. As I say, they are in good form at the moment, they’ve got some really good players in their team, all guided by a great manager as well. But, coming down to Mounthawk Park is always difficult for teams. In the last few weeks, we’ve put on some really good performances, and Dundalk are probably looking at us now thinking we were excellent in the first half the last time we played, I think we were anyway. We could have been up at half time, but they got a lucky goal to go in 1-0 up at the break. But they will know what they are coming down to, it’s going to be a tough game for them, and our players are really looking forward to it as well.”
