It’s match 2 of 3 games in a row for Kerry FC in Mounthawk Park as the kingdom hosts Limerick side Treaty United for Matchday 3 of the SSE Airtricity Men’s First Division campaign.
It’s the first of 2 meetings in 4 days between the sides, with the Munster Senior Cup semi-final to come on Monday.
Kerry returned home last week to some wild weather conditions, which resulted in a 35-minute delay to proceedings in Tralee, with the visitors going home with all 3 points in a narrow 2-3 victory for Bray Wanderers.
Treaty United have started the league in the best possible way. Sitting top of the table after wins against both Cobh Ramblers and UCD AFC. The sides also met in Mounthawk Park on Matchday 3 last season, where Kerry earned their first-ever point in the League of Ireland in a 1-1 draw.

Injury update
In his pre-match press conference, First Team Coach James Sugrue gave Kerry FC supporters some positive news. Jack Kavanagh and Ronan Teahan have returned to be in contention for the matchday squad, having failed late fitness tests last week. Valerii Dolia is a step closer to making his debut for the team with Sugrue saying that he is now back on the pitch doing some more recovery work and should be in full team training shortly. Nathan Gleeson will sit this one out with a one-game suspension for his red card.
‘What they said’
James Sugrue – “On Friday we want to get 3 points, we are really hungry for it now after the last night. You can see the performance was good, obviously, things went against us with the sending off and Nathan won’t be available for the game with the two yellows. He has been one of our best players, but look we will adjust to that.”
