The penultimate home game of the 2025 SSE Airtricity Men’s First Division campaign is coming up this Friday with the visit of Treaty United to Mounthawk Park. Kick-off in Tralee is at 19:45.
The Treaty game lands in a busy schedule for the Kingdom with 3 games in 7 days, two of those away from home to UCD and Athlone Town respectively. But with a large squad to choose from, rotation has been the order of the day from Colin Healy and his coaching staff.
With just a point from a possible 6 last weekend, Kerry will be looking for a win in the league to set them on their way to Tallaght for next Sunday’s Sports Direct Men’s FAI Cup semi-final clash with league leaders Shamrock Rovers. A disappointing 2-1 loss away to UCD on Friday night was backed up with a scoreless draw in Lissywollen against Athlone Town last Monday. Although the scoreline mightn’t suggest a great game, two penalty saves by debutant Darragh Foley was the highlight for the large Kerry support who made the journey.
Treaty, meanwhile, solidified their place in the final play-off places with an impressive win over Athlone themselves on Friday night. They will hope to add another 3 points to their tally on Friday, and with just a handful of games remaining, a win could go a long way to the Limerick side securing another few weeks of football action in October.

Injury Update
Colin Healy reported no fresh injury concerns ahead of Friday night’s clash against Treaty United. Matt Connor will be assessed midweek and could be in line for a return. Niall Brookwell could also return to the team this week. Ryan Kelliher, Nathan Gleeson and Tim Hiemer all remain absent.
What they said?
Colin Healy – “Our focus is on this Friday now, we will see how the players are during the week. It’s a tough ask to play 3 games in 7 days, especially when two are away from home as well. But we will prepare for the Treaty game like we do for all games, and then our focus shifts to the semi-final the week after. So full focus on Friday night, the players will be ready, and we will take game time for certain players into consideration. It’s one game at a time.”
