Kerry Football Club is delighted to announce that Niall Brookwell has signed a new multi-year deal with the club, which will see him remain in Mounthawk Park!
Niall signed for the Kingdom ahead of the 2025 campaign from Cork City FC. He went on to be a key figure in Kerry’s Starting XI throughout the season, making 36 appearances of a possible 41 in all competitions for Kerry FC in a record-breaking season. He played 90 minutes or more in every game, bar one, for the Kingdom throughout the 2025 season, scoring three goals from his defensive position along the way.
Niall, a Wigan native, was formally on the books with Liverpool FC at underage level and played 40 games for Newcastle in Premier League 2 before signing for Cork City in 2024.
Speaking after he penned a new contract with Kerry FC, Niall Brookwell said, “I’m buzzing to have things signed and sorted already. I really enjoyed my football here last season, so it was a no-brainer to sign a new contract. It’s clear that there’s only one way the club is going, and I want to be a part of that and build on what we did last season.”
Kerry FC First Team Manager Colin Healy said, “We are delighted to have Niall signed up for the future with Kerry FC. He was a key player for us throughout the 2025 season, and you can see that in the number of minutes he wore the Kerry jersey for. I’m looking forward to working with him again in 2026 and beyond, and I know he will be ready to get back over to the Kingdom again and add to his impressive season here last year”
