Robbie Cleary joins the Kingdom on loan from League Two side Salford City

Kerry FC are delighted to welcome Canadian centre forward Robbie Cleary, who signs for the Kingdom on loan from Sky Bet League Two outfit Salford City until the end of the 2025 campaign.

Cleary, who is 22, makes the move across the water for the remainder of the 2025 SSE Airtricity Men’s First Division campaign. The Centre Forward made the move to Salford City from his native Canada last August and went out on loan to both FC United of Manchester and Bamber Bridge during his time in the UK. Prior to his time in England, Robbie Cleary played in Canada, most notably for Forge FC in the Canadian Premier League.

Speaking on his arrival in the Kingdom, Robbie Cleary told kerryfc.com, “I’m absolutely delighted to be here. It means a lot to me that Colin took me in here in Kerry. I’m excited to get going, meet all my teammates and, of course, the supporters here in Mounthawk Park. Ya, just want to start playing and scoring some goals here, I can’t wait”

Also speaking after Robbie arrived in Mounthawk Park, Kerry FC First Team Manager Colin Healy said, “We are delighted to get Robbie in. He has come from a very good club in Salford City and has been training and playing at a high level for the last 2 or 3 years. He’s a great attacking player and will add depth to that area of the pitch for us. He’s here until the end of the season, which is great. He’s very quick and powerful, and hopefully will score plenty of goals for us as well. I hope he enjoys his time here in Kerry, and it’s a great opportunity for him as well to go and show people what he can do during his time here.”
