Kerry FC is delighted to confirm that our all-time leading goal scorer, Ryan Kelliher, has committed his immediate future to his home club and has signed a new multi-year deal with the Kingdom ahead of the 2026 campaign.
Despite missing a large portion of the 2025 season due to an ACL injury he suffered away to UCD last April, Ryan has progressed along really well with his injury and is looking forward to getting back out on the Mounthawk Park pitch sooner rather than later.
The 24-year-old Killarney man has been one of the standout performers since the club’s inaugural season in 2023. He has donned the Kerry jersey on 81 occasions, scoring 32 goals for Kerry FC. Ryan started the 2025 season in fine form, netting 3 goals in 8 First Division games before being ruled out for the remainder of the campaign with injury.
Speaking after he sealed a return to Mounthawk Park for 2026, Ryan Kelliher said, “I’m delighted to have signed for the upcoming season. Last season was a big disappointment for me after the injury I got, but I have been working really hard since, and I can’t wait to be back out playing and scoring goals in front of all the fans in Mounthawk Park in 2026.
Also speaking after Ryan re-committed to the Kingdom for the new campaign, First Team Manager Colin Healy said, “I’m delighted to have Ryan signed back for the 2026 campaign. Ryan was injured before I arrived, so I haven’t had the opportunity to work with him on the field yet, but I’m looking forward to seeing him in our sessions again soon. His numbers speak for themselves: a proven goal scorer and a threat in front of the goal. His loss last year was evident, and we know how dangerous a fully fit Ryan Kelliher can be up front for us. So a small bit more patience is needed with his recovery, but I can tell he is hungry to score more goals once he is back up and running again.”
